actually not much..got meself a job but am kinda dreading going to it. and there i was, talking about having enough of meagre pay and tough hours and im still there. oh well the things people do for buckaroos. also kinda gettin in the groove of not doing things and being able to get up and go anywhere at the snap of a finger. to those who dont understand......working means schedules and schedules mean not being able to go anywhere at the snap of a finger! gosh i sound like im trying to make a lunatic understand. maybe its the surrounding atmosphere(ala auntie listening to "good"(wierd) music of women "singing"(screeching) in a "beautiful"(foreign and impossible to understand) language).
got down to actually playing silent hill. not much progress...yet but it doesnt seem as scary as it claims. though certain parts are kinda..but............im kinda being reminded of the days of playing resident evil again. only its better(graphics..sound..more things to control..witty remarks..what else can i say?)

oh well my nice mood to be spoiled in the end...
went to jac's for potluck earlier today. was fun, crapped and stuffed ourselves with food..(ning's mee was humungous)(spelt like that?)(my eng teacher used to say there's no such word). took some fotos..but talked mostly. the only thing that's abit sad was the part where we were locked up when the four of them had things to whisper to each other about. but its okay.
oh well dun feel like writing anymore. okay maybe im not in a bad mood but..just a little down that my attempts to...acutally i dun really know what i was trying to do..but it was shot down. with some really really hurting comments.

The day i became a star part 1
oh well what can i say. start hittin me folks. anyway, friday was fat's bday. woke up early(12) and went to her house. program list of the day? fatz home, esplanade, marina for dinner, homebound. so off we went to the esplanade for some photo taking. there we were, having a blast under the rain, taking pictures of ourselves in poses silly to any passerby when suddenly this photographer, this hongkonger came up to us and uttered to us in what seemed to be english. pretending we understood what he was saying, we nodded and he then started arming himself(with his camera duh). so that's what he wants. obligingly we smiled somemore and posed in what to be silly poses to any passerby(some more). 2mins, a whole bunch of cantonese (by him), more rain and another photographer later, we were done. then came the hard part - we needed to communicate. so in halting speech i assumed to be hongkong english(not speaking in sentences but words), we made an exchange of info. rather it was him who gave us his card, asked us to drop him some mail (how he would understand the mail i have no idea), and he'll send us the pictures. my first encounter with stardom.
my second brush with stardom came in the form of a huge black african named antony. he speaks english(thank god!!!), well english we understand anyway and asked us to pose with the bronze statues outside the esplanade. so being the good sport we were, we smiled, pretended to be good friends with the bronzemen, and got ourselves even wetter. throughout he kept telling us we were "cute", have "nice smiles" and "nice names". oh well. stardom.
stardom comes with its downsides. as any star will agree, the paparazzi is a thing to dread. especially when you're out, trying to have fun with your friends. this well happened to us as well. this time it came in the form of an american photographer (assumed from his accent and behavior). we were resting on the seats, waiting for siyun and liren to arrive and he came up and snapped and snapped and snapped - in our faces. we were too busy being embarressed to do anything else. as if on cue, all the other photographers lying in wait pounced on us, snapping away like camera crazed kids(okay so that didnt happen and im just uttering nonsense but exxageration aside its true!)(one can always imagine).
afterwards we made our way to marina. the guys as usual were late. that's an irritating bunch for you. it's okay to keep people waiting for a while, sometimes, but to do that every single time we meet up and make us wait for ever is NOT the way. *disapproving glare*. call themselves guys. bah. that aside, we made our own way there, without the guys. i guess im not in a position to judge but if you're invited to someone's birthday party, aren't you supposed to wish that someone first thing you reach and not settle yourselves down and eat? so there.
went to clarke quay after that, without the guys and xy but with shanz and mingtiong. nice romantic spot. that being said...ARGH! nice romantic spots only serve to add to the lovelorn's loneliness. anyway it wasn't that bad cause there were friends with me, close friends. watched the reverse bungy jumping, the interesting ice-cream vendor, the outside of a "haunted house", pubs, diners, boats, hawker stalls etc etc.

finished reading 'the naked season' few days ago. u know how it is that books take you through a journey - from beginning to end - though sometimes the beginning or end is blurry - just a smudge? well this book doesnt. there's vaguely a start, no end, and it makes the reader feel as if they've been on a roller coaster ride on a windy day. you know how it is that when you read a book and finish it, you feel sense of.. i dunno just a feeling, like you've achieved something, that you know something more about the world than before you finished the book? but this book...it talks about this woman's life, the way she sees it and the way it changes even as she is thinking it, and its wierd really. it's not funny, at least i dont think it is, so it doesnt fall into the category of middle aged women suffering from a mid life crisis. and it doesnt have much of a plot, so it doesnt count as much of a story. it's just..floating around.
i think i'll explode trying to figure out what this book is trying to tell us (you know, it being that 'everything was written for a reason'). sometimes while reading this book i wonder if the writer, while writing the book has gone mad or that more than one person wrote it. it was almost like tis book was an excerpt from another book. i was almost expecting there to be another larger, thicker book that has exactly those words printed somwhere in its middle. oh well, i guess not everything has to be understood.
it's official. *conspirational voice* coke is spiked. everybody seems to be gettin' high over it. it should be banned!!
oh a lighter note, jac, xy and ning came to my house today. kicked each other's asses on the ps2. was fun. anything free right now is fun really.

anyways, will be bored from now til sunday. sunday is present buying day for the youngest girl in our group. xinyin's gonna turn 16!! at last!! im sure she's been waiting for that moment for like...forever (no more underage sneaks at flicks ya?). suppose she'll not be coming with us - her sister's back and she'll moz probably be spending more time with her.

the big day is finally over. im still without a com. or a camera. thank god for edmund. anyways took loads of pictures tonight. just to replace those that i lost, you know...even with those i barely even know. im probably now known as the irritating girl that goes around snapping in everyone's faces.
tonight was pretty okay i guess. kinda not what i expected but...what can u expect right? still really, really pissed that i didn't get a chance to enjoy dessert( half an hour to fight with everyone for the food, take more pictures, gossip and eat is so not enough).
my brain's in overdrive right now. not really tired though, just cant think straight. not helping that the gals (jess, jac, fatz, xy) have all abandoned me in the dimly lit living room together with the noisy fan. oh well. shall write again(when i find the time and computer to write on). until then...tataz
